About
Jeremy serves on the Board of Directors for Drummond Woodsum Strategic Solutions and provides political and campaign consulting services to its clients. He also serves as Drummond Woodsum’s Practice Group Leader for Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights and represents clients in matters relating to restructuring troubled companies, including bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters across northern New England and around the country.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Jeremy served three terms in the Maine House of Representatives. Elected at age 22, he unseated a multi-term incumbent in his hometown of Presque Isle. During his first term in the Legislature, Jeremy served on the Education Committee, where he worked on Maine’s “Essential Programs and Services” school funding model and co-sponsored legislation that created the Maine Community College System. After he was reelected, he was appointed to the budget-writing Appropriations Committee, and at 26, he became the youngest chairman of that committee in state history and the first from Maine’s northernmost county in over half a century. During his chairmanship, Jeremy shepherded several bi-partisan state budgets into law and successfully sponsored the largest bonded investment package in state history.
Although he no longer serves in elected office, Jeremy remains very active in Maine politics, assisting candidates and campaigns with both fundraising and grassroots organizing. He also regularly appears on Maine TV and radio as a political analyst.
